The Faculty
The Göttingen Faculty of Chemistry has a long tradition dating back to the founding years of Georg-August-Universität. Since its beginnings, the faculty has been characterized by its research orientation; thus, the CVs of numerous Nobel Prize winners are linked to the faculty.
Today, the faculty focuses on interdisciplinary and networked research in three main areas. Its members benefit from the close neighborly connection with the other natural science faculties and the Max Planck Institutes at the Göttingen Campus. This makes the Faculty of Chemistry an equally attractive location for students, young scientists and established researchers.
