Education

CIDAS is involved in the study programmes of Data Science and offers further activities such as workshops and lectures in the field of Data Science and Digitalisation.

Study Programmes
In the Data Science programmes offered, the educational focus is on digital data competence, with particular emphasis on software and method development. The selection of application subjects completes the data competence and allows for an individual focus.

AiAct in Practice - Merging AI Innovation with EU Legal Frameworks

Delve into the AiAct, the European Union's pivotal regulation shaping the trajectory of AI. This workshop is designed to foster collaboration between Natural Science PhDs and LLM students, bridging the gap between AI's technological advancements and the EU's regulatory landscape.

Abschlussarbeiten
The Group of Computational Synaptic Physiology led by Prof. Dr. Christian Tetzlaff at the University Medical Center Göttingen (https://tetzlab.com) offers a Bachelor’s /Master’s thesis project on investigating heterogeneous neural networks for time-series prediction on neuromorphic hardware. The project will encompass the study of spiking heterogeneous neural networks using Intel’s neuromorphic chip Loihi 2. More: Heterogeneous neural networks for time-series prediction on neuromorphic hardware

The Group of Computational Synaptic Physiology led by Prof. Dr. Christian Tetzlaff at the University Medical Center Göttingen (https://tetzlab.com) offers a Master’s thesis project on single-source shortest path (SSSP) finding with neuromorphic hardware. The project will encompass the implementation of a novel algorithm to solve the SSSP problem in a local computation paradigm with Intel’s neuromorphic chip Loihi 2. More: Implementation of shortest path finding in weighted graphs on the neuromorphic chip Loihi 2
