Sponsorship association

The Sponsorship association shows how characterizing for the students living in the Stift is. Many former students, who lived at the Stift, as well as friends of the Stift from all over the whole country, join together with the present students in a sponsorship association. The so called „Association of friends of the Theological Stift of the University of Göttingen e.V.“ helps to ensure the future financial situation of the house by its great commitment.

„Association of friends of the Theological Stift of the University of Göttingen e.V.“
was founded in the year 2000. It supports the Theological Stift by its member's fees and additional voluntary donations. The association only and directly serves tax-deductible charitable purposes according to §§ 51ff, AO and belongs to the corporations and unions described in § 5 Abs. 1 Nr. 9 KStG.

Each semester all members receive a student-arranged booklet with reports of all matters concerning living in the Stift during the past semester. The exchange-students present themselves and describe their impressions. In addition to that public events like the „Kulturabend“ and the internal „Stiftsfreizeit“ that take place once a semester are presented here. Thus it is guaranteed that all members of the association stay closely connected with the Stift.
