International Human Resource Management
Students get insights into major topics of Human Resource Management (HRM) in an international context. The course will feature data and examples from academic research and management practice.
The lecture covers the following topics:
- Comparative HRM
- Culture’s consequences
- Cross-border mergers and acquisitions
- Global ethics
- Global workforce planning and staffing
- Training and management development in the global enterprise
- The department of international HRM
Qualification aims:
Lectures will provide an introduction to relevant aspects of HRM in an international context. While studying several peer-reviewed journal articles and working on various case studies, students are able to discuss and transfer knowledge between theory and practice. In addition, students get the opportunity to improve their skills in team work and communication in short presentations.
