Image database
A PC has been set up in the foyer, which is reserved for the entire image database. The collection is made up of scans of original slides (slide library, private collections) and the proceeds of numerous excursions and trips. The current stock amounts to more than 73.000 topographically indexable images. For the most part, the image database can currently only be accessed with an employee account. However, work is underway to make the collection accessible to all students via the Internet as soon as possible. This is currently possible to a limited extent (around 31,000 images) via the Goepix website (see below); all images from Algeria, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Georgia, France, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Syria and Turkey are available, as well as a generous selection of images from Israel and Tunisia.
