Dr. Friedemann Yi-Neumann
Friedemann Yi-Neumann was a research assistant and scientific coordinator at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Göttingen in the BMBF research project „On the materiality of (forced) migration", under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andrea Lauser.
Previously, he was a research assistant in the BMBF research project „Mobile Worlds“ at the Goethe University Frankfurt.
Here, Friedemann worked on understanding migration, forced migration, and life in asylum reception through a material culture and home perspective, moreover with the help of curatorial engagements.
Friedemann Yi-Neumann is currently working on the ERC Research Project Material and environmental legacies in the 21st century at the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Social Sciences.
