Jens-Michael Cramer
I started working in the sign language team at the University of Göttingen in October 2015 to support the team in conducting experiments concerning German Sign Language. Since I am Deaf myself, I can contribute my knowledge about German Sign Language and be part of a barrier-free working environment. I am mostly involved in planning various projects, conducting experiments, recording sign language videos and pursuing acquisition for the team. Moreover, I am giving feedback to various questions regarding different signs or aspects of DGS grammar.
It is a kind of cross-entry, because I studied biology at the University of Tübingen. Afterwards, I did my PhD at the Max-Planck-Institute for polymer research in Mainz and the topic of my dissertation was in the field of biology, in particular about nanoparticles.
