Submitting a Sample

The Crystallography Service is available to all employees of the Faculty of Chemistry at the Georg-August University. Other university employees or external parties please contact cgolz@gwdg.de before submitting any samples.
Samples can be handed in at the entrance to AK Alcarazo (4th floor IOBC, red box) or directly to Christopher Golz (lab 4.124). Please provide a completed form with each sample or send it via email! For sensitive samples, please make an appointment.

Instructions for filling in:
Group/Date/Name/Email should be self-explanatory. Please always specify, as this information is relevant for the final CIF.
Sample ID must match the label on the sample. No unlabelled samples will be accepted!
Sum formula Optional. A sound proposed structure is more important.
Return Sample If unchecked, the sample will be discarded afterwards.
Crystalized from The solvent mixture and method used (evaporation, cooling, vapor diffusion, etc.) is transferred to the final CIF.
Melting Point When available. Is transferred to the final CIF.
Absolute configuration needed? Relevant for enantiopure compounds. Not relevant for achiral molecules.
Sensitive Sample For particularly sensitive substances or samples directly from the glove box, please make an appointment.
Proposed Structure This is mandatory. Please do not insert page breaks.
