South Africa
As the name “Rainbow Nation” suggests, South Africa has much to offer. Situated on the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, South Africa has a 2500 km coastline with interior mountains that rise to 3500 m. The flora and fauna are accordingly diverse. Since the official end of apartheid, there are a total of eleven official languages. The country is home to some of the largest and best universities on the continent. The University of Göttingen maintains a partnership with Stellenbosch University as part of the Global Exchange Programme.
