GAMM Workshop on Applied and Numerical Linear Algebra 2024
This was the 24th annual workshop of the GAMM Activity Group on Applied and Numerical Linear Algebra (GAMM ANLA). It focused on recent advances in numerical linear algebra methods and their use in applied mathematics, physics, engineering and data science. We welcomed contributions on topics including but not limited to: eigenvalue problems, matrix functions, linear systems, least squares problems, tensor methods, inverse problems, and optimization. The GAMM workshop 2024 took place at the Convention Centre by the - Historical Observatory Geismarer Landstraße 11b - 37083 Göttingen on September 23 to 24, 2024. You will find more information here here. The GAMM ANLA Book of Abstracts is available here.
DMV Topic Day on Mathematics in Imaging
Topic days are a new format of the Deutsche Mathematiker Vereinigung featuring a current topic of active research in mathematics, which is discussed by leading experts of the field from an interdisciplinary perspective. This first topic day is devoted to mathematical methods in imaging, including Bayesian approaches, regularization techniques, (generative) neural networks, and inversion methods. The Topic Day took place at Alte Mensa, Wilhelmsplatz 3, 37073 Göttingen on September 6, 2024. You will find more information here.
Spring School 2024
Motivated by applications studied in CRC 1456, ranging from helioseismology to electron microscopy, this spring school focused on modeling of new types of wave data, corresponding forward problems, and novel inversion techniques. The Spring School 2024 took place at the Convention Centre by the - Historical Observatory Geismarer Landstraße 11b - 37083 Göttingen on March 11 to 14, 2024.
From Knowledge to Dialogue: Crafting Interactive Narratives with LiveDocs - INF workshop
Join the INF workshop From Knowledge to Dialogue: Crafting Interactive Narratives with LiveDocs - together with Göttingen’s eResearchAlliance (eRA) and the CRC 1456 "Mathematics of Experiment" - for an engaging workshop on LiveDocs, a practical concept for sharing scientific knowledge. Discover how the CRC 1456 employs LiveDocs to present research in a user-friendly environment. Get insights and hands-on experience as we guide you through setting up LiveDocs for your projects using tools like Gitlab with CI/CD, Docker, Binderhub, Jupyter, and more. Let’s delve into the world of LiveDocs together and elevate your research sharing experienceOptimal Design for Experiments in Inverse Problems
