The professorship strives to develop excellent research that is based on practical issues and creates sustainable value for individuals, organizations and society.


The work focuses primarily on empirical-quantitative methods such as experiments and surveys, which enable an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the respective research phenomenon. Depending on the research question, advanced qualitative and quantitative approaches are also used.


We realize our projects in collaboration with international research institutions and scientists in order to jointly generate innovative findings and drive scientific progress.

Success story from our chair's start-up course


Julius Bremer (22) and Peter Naumann (24), both business administration students at the WiWi Faculty, won first place in the “Start-up potential” category of the LIFT-OFF 2025 competition with their platform developed in the “Founding an IT-based start-up” module with Prof. Adam.
