Fields of research
The PhD students will either specialize in an experimental or in a theoretical discipline. Fields of research include:
all experimental "omics" disciplines, i.e. genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, bioimaging,
important theoretical disciplines, i.e. stochastics, theoretical physics, bioinformatics, biometrics, and computational biology.

Close cooperation between several faculties at the University of Göttingen, the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization, the German Primate Center, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases, and the Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen.

Time line
Preliminary application deadline is January 14, 2025; recruitment days March 30-April 2, 2025; start of PhD projects around fall 2025. Earlier starts might be possible, depending on the funding of the project.
