Systematic accompanying research provides new insights into the prerequisites, conditions for success and effects of action-oriented European political education at the primary level and serves to optimize the simulation games on the basis of supporting evidence. Finally, the game materials are made freely available for use in political education.

Project Information:
In the model project "Teaching the EU through playing - simulation games for European political education in elementary school", three innovative EU Council simulation games on everyday topics that can be integrated into the curriculum (healthy eating, environmental protection, animal welfare) are being developed specifically for the target group of 4th grade elementary school students in order to facilitate European political education at the primary level. The game is developed and implemented in cooperation with the company planpolitik.
