Funding program for researchers
Individuals who are conducting research at the Faculty of Social Sciences and are working towards a qualification goal themselves and have care responsibilities for a child up to the age of 12 living in the household or a person in need of care can submit applications in this funding line. Proof in the form of a birth certificate, proof of registration or similar must be enclosed with the application. Applicants can choose between two funding models: Funding Model 1: Relief by a student or research assistant
- An assistant is employed at the Institute for a maximum of 15 hours/month and is available to the applicant without restriction for all activities within the legal framework in research and teaching.
- The Institute bears half of the costs. The application must be accompanied by a declaration of intent from the institute's management to cover half of the costs.
- If the number of hours applied for exceeds the standard 15 hours per month, this must be justified separately.
- Applications for the following semester must be submitted by 15 February for the summer semester or 15 July for the winter semester.
- Applications can be submitted all year round.
- Funding is provided within the framework of the guidelines for childcare from the University of Göttingen's Family Service.
- Especially within the framework of the measures ‘Childcare in emergencies and off-peak times’ and ‘Childcare during business trips and qualification measures’, top-ups can be applied for from the Faculty's equal opportunities budget.
There is no legal entitlement to funding.
If you were unable to find a funding opportunity for your individual situation, please contact the Faculty's Equal Opportunities Officer. The programs can only cover the majority of funding requirements and further funding options are possible.
