Orientation for Doctoral Researchers

• Graduate Schools
  

  The educational training for doctoral researchers at the Göttingen of University is organized by four Graduate Schools. Graduate Schools´ Consultants are available to provide consultations for doctoral researchers at any stage on their path to their doctorate. The Graduate Schools span across a variety of doctoral programmes and graduate colleges of the faculties.



• Faculty-Specific Support Schemes
  

  Faculties of the University of Göttingen have concentrated their energies on offering schemes to support and advise early career researchers. Some of those plans are published here.



• Research Promotion Programmes
  

  The Göttingen Graduate Schools publish funding opportunities for doctoral projects on their internet pages. The Research department has an extensive overview of the funding landscape for the post-doctoral Phase and will be happy to give indvidual advise to those who want to continue a career in science after the doctorate.



• Qualification & Mentoring
  

  In addidtion to the Graduate Schools, both the Section for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and the team in HR Development offer a wide range of qualifications throughout the year which you can take advantage of as a doctoral researcher at university. Furthermore, the Mentoring Programmes of HR Development have been designed to support you in your career.
