  • Since 1 October 2019, no more procedures have taken place according to the doctoral degree regulations from 2002 and before. The new doctoral regulations of the Faculty of Humanities, which came into force in October 2015, stipulate in Section 34 (3) sentence 4 that examinations according to one of the older doctoral regulations, i.e. from 2002 and before, will be conducted for the last time in the 2019 summer semester. Doctoral candidates who had started their procedure according to one of these regulations and wanted to complete it afterwards therefore had until 30 September 2019 to complete their examinations (dissertation and oral examination). Since 1 October 2019, examinations under the older regulations are no longer possible.
