Luiza Pedroso (Coach)
Luiza is a fifth-year Law student in Brazil currently doing her exchange programme at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen.
Luiza has been working with arbitration in Brazilian law firms since she was 17 years old. For the past year, she has been working as Professor Luiz Olavo Baptista's intern at his firm, L.O. Baptista SVMFA, which she currently does from a distance by virtue of her exchange programme in Germany.
She has also been part of extracurricular activities related to arbitration throughout her entire graduation. She was recently accepted for the ICCA Mentoring programme and will be studying under Ms. Carolyn Lamm until 2016. Her most recent academic project aims at conducting an empirical-jurisprudential examination by mapping all arbitration-related decisions rendered by Brazilian courts, for which she was awarded the title of Honorary Member within the Brazilian Association of Brazilian Students (ABEArb) in 2014. Luiza was recently appointed to act as Secretary General of the ABEArb as of January 2015. She also had the opportunity of attending the 2014 Session of the International Academy for Arbitration Law (Arbitration Academy), in Paris.
Apart from Portuguese, Luiza speaks English, German and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and French. In her spare time, she likes to play musical instruments and practice sports.
