Introductory week for all international students
At the beginning of each semester we offer an “Introductory Week” and other welcome events for international and exchange students. The events are designed to help you get started with your studies and find your way around Göttingen.

Foyer International
Foyer International is a place for students from all over the world to meet up. We offer regular language workshops, art and theatre workshops, film nights, cooking and culture themed events for various countries and courses both at our main location as well as in our 'intercultural garden' in south Göttingen.

InDiGU
InDiGU (Integration and Diversity at Göttingen University) is an extra-curricular programme that seeks to support the integration of foreign students at the University of Göttingen as well as to promote and make visible the diversity of the international student body.

Excursions
Every semester, Göttingen International organises trips within Germany to visit cities and sights of political, cultural and historical interest, in order to give non-German students the opportunity to learn about German history and culture.

Discover! Lower Saxony, Bremen and Hamburg is a joint initiative of the universities in these two states to offer excursions and events. All students are cordially invited to participate in these.

STUBE
STUBE (Study support programme for international students at universities in Lower Saxony) is a programme to support students particularly from developing and emerging nations. It is a forum for both questions about sustainable education, development and personal future planning. STUBE’s educational, advisory and support services are primarily aimed at students from Africa, Asia and Latin America who study at universities in Lower Saxony.
