Research Interests
I am mainly interested in the structure and evolution of contractional intraplate-deformation with focus on Central Europe and its rheological dependencies. In this context, I focus on inversion structures and detached thrusts as well as on their kinematic development. I attempt to understand the geometry and kinematics of faults of both tectonic regimes by the use of quantified structural models with a close fitting to field data.
