The Department of Mathematics invites applications for combined teaching and research assistant jobs.


The jobs offer the opportunity to get involved in cutting-edge research projects and are designed to prepare graduate students to take their next steps towards their career. 
Successful candidates will be based in one of the institutes of the Department of Mathematics where they will work as teaching assistants in the first year and as research assistants in the second year. The positions are funded for 2 years (86 hrs per month, monthly net income approx. 880 EUR depending on personal circumstances).


Starting date: 01 October 2023. By that date, successful candidates must be unconditionally enrolled in the Master's Degree programme in Mathematics of the University of Göttingen. 


Applicants are expected to hold an excellent Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. The competitive selection procedure is solely based on the applicants' qualification.
