The American Studies Section cordially invites you to a literary event with Carole Maso, a novelist and essayist known for her experimental, poetic, and fragmentary narratives, who has been a professor of Literary Arts at Brown University since 1995. She has also taught at Illinois State University, The George Washington University, and Columbia University. A fellow at the American Academy in Rome in 2015, Maso is also the recipient of a Lannan Literary Fellowship for Fiction, a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, and various grants. Curretly she is Mary Ellen von der Heyden Fellow in Fiction at the American Academy in Berlin.
