International Entrepreneurship

Why we support international teams

The formation of international or intercultural teams can be a decisive success factor for startups. According to the annual Migrant Founders Monitor (published by Startup Verband), founders with a migrant background are disproportionately represented in unicorns, i.e., companies valued at over a billion dollars, in Germany. Many prospective founders bring important qualifications, a strong entrepreneurial mindset, and international networks to the table. At the same time, they often perceive hurdles in the start-up process in Germany. In addition to language, a major challenge lies in the often unfamiliar structures and lack of access to regional start-up ecosystems.

With the ERDF project “Startup Rooms of the Transfer & Startup Hub University of Göttingen,” we want to specifically support international prospective founders and intercultural teams in the pre-startup process. We offer English-language and culturally sensitive consultation services and ensure early networking with regional experts and mentors. With this focus, we actively address the issue of equal opportunities and are committed to an inclusive start-up landscape in Germany. We are also happy to help with individual questions and finding the right contact persons.

Please feel free to contact us for more information, advice, networking opportunities, and if you are interested in participating in current events.
