Open Access Publishing
Open access publications enable researchers to make their research results freely accessible and thus available to a broad public and the scientific community without access barriers. In this way, the exchange of research findings is accelerated and the visibility of research results is increased. This contributes to transparency in research and the reproducibility of research results and thus also supports compliance with good research practice. Open access to data, methods and results also improves the traceability of scientific work. This strengthens the integrity of research, minimises errors and promotes a collaborative research culture in which the quality of research results takes centre stage.
The University of Göttingen's Open Access Policy sets out a general framework of recommendations for Open Access and supplements the Research Data Guideline.
The Electronic Publishing and Open Access Department of the SUB offers advice on Open Access publishing and the Publication Fund for the promotion of Open Access publications.
