Saskia Lachmann
Saskia Lachmann, Assistant Coordinator and Researcher at the Euroculture Programme, is originally from Wolfsburg, Germany. After graduating from school, she couldn’t wait to travel the world, so she studied Spanish at a language school in Málaga, Spain, and then volunteered in a nature reserve in Costa Rica. Her passion for languages and cultures motivated her to pursue a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Linguistics at the University of Göttingen. After graduating, she moved to beautiful Pamplona, Spain, to work as an HR intern at Volkswagen Navarra. At the end of the internship she returned to Göttingen, where she completed an M.A. in Intercultural German Studies/German as a Foreign Language. As part of her Master’s Programme she spent a semester in Pune, India, at the German Department of Savitribai Phule Pune University. In Göttingen, she was involved in the Amnesty International University Group and volunteered as a German teacher for refugees. After her studies, she continued to teach German as a foreign language to VfL Wolfsburg soccer players before she started working as a copywriter and project manager in a Marketing Agency in Wolfsburg.
Now, she is thrilled to be back in the vibrant city of Göttingen and to be part of the Euroculture community, and she is very happy to support Euroculture students on their own unique journeys.
Apart from that she is researching the challenges of mobility in the framework of the programme, looking at the mobilities as part of the curriculum.
