SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS
I am interested in molecular neuroscience, especially in the structure, function and physiological role of ion channels. As a large number of neurological diseases are caused by the dysfunction of ion channels, it is crucial to gain a fundamental knowledge about the structure and function of those channels to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathological events.
