SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I have always wanted to understand human diseases and how to treat them. Specifically, I am interested in psychiatric diseases since we often lack a detailed understanding of their development and therefore lack treatment options. Neuroinflammatory diseases are another area I would like to explore. By learning more about the pathophysiology and the normal function of the brain, I ultimately hope to contribute developing more effective and specific drugs.
