Katharina Farys, M.A.
Katharina Farys is a research assistant in the project "Praxis of museum anthropology – researching, mediating, and exhibiting in the digital age ". Together with Michael Kraus and Christiane Falck, she is developing digital interactive teaching units related to the Ethnographic Collection in Göttingen. Katharina studied Cultural Anthropology at the University of Bonn and did her PhD at the Free University of Berlin on transgenerational spatial narratives in the Mexican World Natural and Cultural Heritage Site of Calakmul. She is passionate about teaching in the fields of museum and critical heritage research, alternative (fair) trade strategies and human-environment-relations, as well as various participatory and collaborative methodologies.
