Satellite technology can provide detailed information about large forest areas over long periods of time. In the project Digital Forest, we developed new methods to derive information about forest vitality and productivity using satellite data and artificial intelligence.

The approaches we developed can predict the vitality and productivity of forests more precisely. The best results are achieved by algorithms that also incorporate data from the past.
