Theses
Part of every course is the preparation of a thesis (Bachelor's or Master's thesis). It is a piece of written work intended to show that the student is able to work on a topic according to scientific methods within a limited period of time.
BACHELOR THESIS
The scope of the bachelor thesis is approx. 20-30 pages, the processing time is a maximum of 3 months. As a rule, data already collected from research projects or existing literature are evaluated for this purpose. Recording your own data should remain the exception for reasons of time. Bachelor thesis topics can be found on the homepages of the individual departments. You can also address the professors and staff directly. You should not write the bachelor thesis until you have successfully completed the examination in the respective subject. The bachelor thesis must be registered with the examination office using the registration form before the topic is processed.
CAUTION! These instructions may differ from the requirements of individual supervisors. Please contact your supervisor in advance!
MASTER THESIS
The scope of the master's thesis is approx. 50-100 pages, the maximum time frame of the master's thesis is 6 months. With the Master's thesis, the students should show that they are able to independently and scientifically work on a limited problem in a subject of their choice within a specified period of time. In contrast to the bachelor thesis, this usually also includes the recording of your own research data. You can find topics on the homepages of the individual departments or you can also contact the professors and employees directly. The Master's thesis must be registered with the Examination Office using the registration form before the topic is processed.

FAQ
All examiners must have an examination authorization at the faculty. Professors of the faculty/university and lecturers of the faculty are usually automatically authorized to take exams. For all others, the examination authorization must be applied for by the departments at the Dean of Studies.
