IT Department of the Faculty of Humanities
The IT department is in charge of the 33 scientific institutions and centres, in addition to which approx. 10 projects and Collaborative Research Centres are supervised. The range of services includes the following points:
• Contact person for technical problems with official hardware and software
• Administration of user IDs
• Active Directory / Group Policy Management
• Network maintenance and documentation
• Management of client management systems (Baramundi, jamf Pro)
• Management of faculty servers
• Management of group drives
• Documentation of IT systems
• Development and creation of IT procedures and documentation
• Procurement of hardware and software
• Commissioning of IT systems
A total of approx. 2,600 employees, 1,500 Windows clients and approx. 300 mac OS X clients are supported by the IT department.
