Welcome to Hollywood - a global simulation at the YLAB
This semester’s Hollywood Awards were hosted at the YLAB by ten M.Ed.students during their research internship. From January 17th-19th they transformed the YLAB into an exciting movie awards venue and welcomed three 8th grades, using a lot of props, glitter, energy and creativity. The 8th graders took on the roles of fans, journalists and stars and worked on the different stations prepared by the students. They shot their own make-up tutorial at the make-up station, got their picture taken at the photo booth, conducted interviews at the press room or ordered a drink at the bar. Furthermore, they presented the products they worked on during a period of three weeks in which the master students took over the classes’ regular English lessons.
