Yoones Dehghani Farsani received his BA (2006) and MA (2009) in Qurʾān and Ḥadīth Studies from Imam Sadiq University in Tehran.

In May 2012 he joined EDRIS’ Research Area 3, where he started his PhD project which deals with the external and internal textual criticism of the futūḥ works ascribed to al-Wāqidī.
