Research interests
• Rangeland management, inventory, and monitoring
• Biodiversity in relation to management and environmental factors
• Using Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for studying rangeland inventory and monitoring, detection and simulation of land use/cover changes, biodiversity assessment and water resources management
• Integrated watershed/rangeland management using system dynamic model
Current projects
Modelling biodiversity and land cover changes and detecting their driving forces: an integration of satellite imagery and field inventory data
This project is part of a collaboration between scientists from the Institute of Grassland Science of Goettingen University in Germany and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Ilam University which belongs to the Ministry of Sciences, Researches and Technology (MSRT) in Iran.
