10. Göttinger Gespräche zum Agrarrecht unter dem Titel „Haftung in der Land- und Forstwirtschaft“

Since 2010, the "Göttingen Talks on Agrarian Law" have provided a forum each year for interdisciplinary exchange between science and legal practice on current and fundamental topics of agricultural law.

The Göttinger Gespräche zum Agrarrecht will take place on 15.11.2019 in the in the Historical Building of the SUB.
This years topic "Liability in agriculture and forestry" addresses a core issue of to agricultural activity.

The inherent risk of agricultural activity demands that the farmer and the agrarian lawyer take a comprehensive preventive approach to these challenges. At the same time, the settlement of claims indirectly raises questions about insurance or directly about the injured party. These questions will be discussed on the basis of selected typical liability case groups.
The individual presentations cover topics such as home and farm safety, animal husbandry liability, product liability for the farmer as a producer, liability for agricultural machinery and vehicles, digitization and liability, liability for environmental damage and liability as an employer.
