Exhibition: „The Red Umbrella. Children’s Literature of the Seifert Collection Between Early Enlightenment and National Socialism”

During the winter term 2011/12 the Working Group “Historical Children´s and Young Adult's Literature”, the Research Group “Historical Young Adult's Literature” and Göttingen State and University Library presented a large exhibition of children´s books from the historical Seifert Collection in the Paulinerkirche. It was well visited by an interested audience and reviewed in regional as well as national and international newspapers and broadcast stations. The voluminous scientific catalogue "Der rote Wunderschirm. Kinderbücher der Sammlung Seifert von der Frühaufklärung bis zum Nationalsozialismus" published at Wallstein-Verlag accompanied the exhibition.




Public course of lectures: „classics of children´s literature“

Parallel to the exhibition in winter semester 2011/12 a public course of lectures dealing with international classics of children´s literature was held. The lectures about different topics in children's literature are going to be published at Wallstein-Verlag soon. Check this site regularly for further information.
