USB memory sticks

So-called USB memory sticks can be used on all computers in the PC pools of the WiSo computer center. Simply connect the memory stick to a USB port and a new drive appears under "My Computer":




You can now work with the drive as usual and save your data.

However, it should be noted that simply unplugging the memory stick (after a write operation) can lead to data loss due to delayed writing. Therefore you should "stop" the device before removing it.

To do this, click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon at the bottom right of the taskbar and select your memory stick in the subsequent dialog.
