SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in computational/theoretical neuroscience, machine learning, informatics, physics, and the application of these subjects in learning models. Particularly, I enjoy computational models which describe the self-organization of neural networks, how these systems compute and integrate information, and the application of these models in the production of more efficient and intelligent systems. Ultimately, I would like to see these pursuits contribute to a better understanding of cognition and consciousness.
