SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS
Having a background in psychology, my main interests lie in the understanding of human behaviour, cognition, and mental health. Since the brain is the primary determinant of how we perceive and interact with our surroundings, I am eager to contribute to gaining a deeper knowledge of the underlying neural mechanisms. In particular, I am interested in the neuroscientific understanding, prevention, and treatment of psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases to promote mental and physical well-being. I am moreover filled with great curiosity about how interdisciplinary approaches such as Artificial Intelligence might foster our understanding of the brain, and I am enthusiastic about exploring various neuroscientific research fields during the Master’s programme.
