C01 - Electron Dynamics at Hydrated Magnetically Doped ZnO Surfaces
ZnO, a transparent, surface-conductive, and wide band-gap oxide is considered as an attractive material for optoelectronic and light-harvesting applications that are driven by PCET reactions. Our project C01 will connect the different and distinct observations about PCET on ZnO by complementary use of global and local techniques that access electronic structure, atomic structure, and dynamics. Eventually, C01 will provide inevitable information for the C-group projects about electronic structure, atomic structure, active sites, excitation spectrum, relaxation timescales, surface stability, defect density, as well as the space charge region.
