SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My current interests are focused on the field of electrophysiology. In particular, I am interested in studying ion channel function and malfunction as a cause of diseases, and the mechansims of synaptic plasticity and memory formation. I would also like to gain a deeper understanding of the methods used in molecular biology and modern imaging including fluorescence microscopy in order to extend my methodological skills for future reserach projects.
