Summary:

In the global context, tuberculosis remains one of the deadliest diseases. Hereby, the effectiveness of possible treatment is highly dependent on timely detection. However, especially in low-resource settings, the burden of tuberculosis is exacerbated by late detection.

The goal of CAGE-TB is to utilize the chronic coughing of patients who suffer from tuberculosis. An algorithm will be built and embedded in a mobile app, which will be capable of analyzing the coughing sound to classify tuberculosis.

The DHRG will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a user-centered mobile app within this context.
