While I may be biased as I will be spending three semesters in Göttingen I think this alone says more than anything else in this testimonial. Göttingen is a proper student city, a fact made all the more noticeable as summer break ends and the students return for their classes. It is very easy to be a student here in Göttingen. The city is small enough that everything is close by, yet big enough that it holds anything a student would need. As for the program here, you have the freedom to research your interests with enough direction so you do not get lost. Göttingen is the affordable city with the university that treats its students right.
