Stefanie Straßer, M.A.
Stefanie, born in Munich, Bavaria, studied in Lüneburg, Macerata, Italy and Göttingen. Her study focus has been on intercultural communication and concepts of culture. During her Bachelor's in cultural studies and business psychology in Lüneburg she also did some research in culture sociology and media culture as well as Italian language and culture. She lately completed her Master's degree in Intercultural German Studies and German as a foreign language at the University of Göttingen. Her Master thesis was about commemoration issues in Europe and cultural learning in German language classes.During her studies, Stefanie was working in different environments. Teaching German as a foreign language, tutor of the international office in Lüneburg, internship in tourism in Australia, followed by an internship in film funding society in Bavaria. About 1,5 years she was working as a student employee at Career Service of the University of Göttingen in student's consulting. She carried out advisory sessions for German and international students that came with different questions about job entry and application process and supported the team at job fairs and career related events.
After graduation, she was glad to become part of your Euroculture family being able to welcome students from all over the world in Göttingen.
Meanwhile, she started working as a Diversity-trainer working with employees at public institutions in Lower Saxony.
For her new position at Göttingen university she returned to the Career Service replacing the International Career Counsellor during parental leave and continues working with students aiming at an international career and of course Euroculture students!
