Transcriptomics and Genomics in non-model Arthropods

In order to establish new organisms for comparative approaches in evolutionary biology it is essential to make genomic resources available. Therefore, we are involved in collaborative projects that aim to explore the developmental transcriptomes of major non-insect arthropods like spiders, myriapods and onychophorans. Additionally, we are involved in the annotation of the genome of the common house spider Parasteatoda tepidariorum.
