Nina Lutterjohann, M.A.
Nina Lutterjohann, born in Düsseldorf, studied Political Science and History in Münster (2002-2004). Following this she spent several months in New Zealand. She received her BA in European Studies from Maastricht University and the Universidade do Porto and completed the MA Euroculture at the Georg-August Universität Göttingen and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in 2009. As part of her MA, she participated in the IP at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and received an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for the University of Pune, India. During her time at secondary school, Nina wrote for various newspapers, including the Rheinische Post. During her studies she undertook a variety of work placements, including assisting in the preparation for the EU-candidate election campaign in 2003, volunteering for Club de Madrid in 2008 and working as an intern at the Permanent Delegation of Germany to UNESCO in 2009. Following successful completion of the MA Euroculture, Nina continued to pursue her interest in EU affairs through a traineeship at the European Commission in the Directorate-General External Relations. During this time she dealt with projects in the Black Sea region, Caucasus/ENP, South-East Europe and the EU’s Barents Cooperation.
Nina has taken part in many study excursions to destinations including Vienna, Brussels and The Hague. Her main research interests are International Relations, Cultural Studies, Social Anthropology, EU Foreign Policy, Global Governance, Migration and Conflict Resolution.
Nina supported the Euroculture team in administrative and research tasks as well as in the organisation of the Intensive Programme 2011.
Nina is now Advisor on Climate and Energy Policy for the International Political Dialogue Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Brussels.
